1. What PayPlease does
PayPlease helps a group collect money for a shared cost. The organiser lists the costs, shares a link, and everyone pays for what they need. We handle the tally, the receipts and the payout.
2. Who holds the money
Payments go through our payment partners. We hold the money until the group's pay-by date has passed and the bank has confirmed every payment, then we pay the organiser's checked bank account.
3. Fees
A small service fee is added at checkout and shown before you pay. A once-off PayPlease fee comes off the organiser's payout. Cash the organiser records costs nothing.
Nothing is hidden and nothing is charged twice.
4. Your part as an organiser
You are responsible for what you collect for, for buying or delivering what you promised, and for keeping your group informed. PayPlease is the collection tool, not the supplier.
5. Your part as a payer
Pay only for what you want. Your receipt is proof of payment. If something goes wrong, speak to your organiser first, then to us at hello@payplease.co.za.
6. Refunds
Ask your organiser. If a refund is agreed, we return it to the card or account you paid from. Refunds can take a few working days to show.
7. When we can close a group
If a group is used for anything unlawful or misleading, we stop it, hold the money and work with the bank.
